IS IT SAFE TO GET A TATTOO?
We work very hard to provide a safe, sterile environment for your tattoo. We only use single-use needles. All equipment is sterilised in an autoclave, which is validated regularly. We follow all standard processes to avoid cross-contamination.
DOES IT HURT?

Getting a tattoo is like scratching sunburnt skin. It is painful, but manageable. Some parts of the body are more painful than others. And everyone has different pain tolerances.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT?
Yes, a deposit is required for all tattoos. The minimum deposit is $100. Please refer to our Deposit Policy for more information. Please note a deposit is not required for initial consultations, which are free.
HOW DO I MAKE A DEPOSIT?

You can pay by cash during your initial consultation, or by arrangement at another time. Alternatively, we can provide you with bank account details when you make your appointment. Click here for more information on our Deposit Policy.

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?
No. We are a private studio and only operate by appointment. This ensures you have the artist’s full attention, and you can get your tattoo in privacy.
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET TATTOOED?
We will only tattoo those aged 18 or over; even if parental consent can be obtained. We may ask you for a copy of your identification to validate your date of birth if we feel this is required.
IS THERE ANYONE YOU CAN'T TATTOO?

Unfortunately we cannot offer tattoo services to:

  • People under 18 years of age
  • Anyone with transmittable diseases
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Anyone who is rude or aggressive towards the artist or others in the studio We do not tattoo hands, necks or faces (unless you are heavily tattooed).
WHERE CAN I PARK?

St John’s Avenue is a busy area in the heart of Gordon. There is on-street parking nearby, but this may be difficult to obtain … particularly for long tattoos. We are very close to the Gordon train station, which has two large car parks in Henry Street (or you could come by train). Or 4-hour parks are available in Ravenswood Avenue, which is only a block away. Unlimited parking can often be found in the residential parts of St John’s Avenue, on the opposite side of the Pacific Highway.

HOW ARE TATTOO PRICED?
Initial consultation appointments are free. The minimum price is $100, which is for small tattoos only; including appointments of 15 minutes duration or less. If you provide a design, we can give you a set price. Or alternatively, we can arrange an hourly rate or day rate. Please refer to our Tattoo Price Guide on the home page for more information.
WILL YOU PRICE MATCH IF I GET A CHEAPER QUOTE SOMEWHERE ELSE?
No, we do not price match. Remember, tattooing is about more than price. You should also consider the quality of the design, the skill of the artist, and the professionalism (and cleanliness) of the studio. We think when you consider all of these things, we are your best choice.
HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can contact us by email at [xxxx] or by calling [xxxx]. Your initial consultation is free, but you will still need to book an appointment in advance.
CAN I CHANGE MY MIND ON WHAT I WANT?
Yes you can. It’s your tattoo and we want you to be satisfied. BUT … Bear in mind that your artist must spend time developing a design. So if you change your mind after work has already been undertaken on the design, you will be charged for that time. Also, keep in mind that your artist will need time to prepare the new design. So if you change your mind within 48 hours of your appointment, our Deposit Policy will apply, and your deposit will be forfeited.
HOW DO I LOOK AFTER MY TATTOO?
We will talk you through after care during your appointment. Or you can go to our After Care page for more information.
DO YOUR ARTISTS DO COVER UPS?
Yes we do. We suggest you book in for an initial consultation so we can talk about what is possible. Some tattoos cannot be covered up. We can give you some advice if laser tattoo removal may be a good option for you, and refer you to somewhere that provides this service.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD INTO THE STUDIO?
Yes. But please also bring someone else who can supervise the children while you get your tattoo or have your consultation. It is very important that children do not come near the working area.
CAN YOU TATTOO WITH UV INK?
No, we do not offer this type of ink.
DO YOU OFFER VEGAN INK?
Yes, we can arrange this if required.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME?
Yes, you can bring one support person with you. But we do not allow more than one person because it can be distracting for the artist.
CAN YOU DO ALL STYLES OF TATTOOS?
We can do most styles. If we feel like we won’t do a good job, we will definitely tell you so. We won’t take on something that is beyond our skill set.
HOW MUCH TIME BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT WILL I HAVE TO SEE THE DESIGN?
This will depend on our workload and how much time there is between your initial consultation and your appointment. We will always try to share the design with you early, but this may not always be possible. This is why it is very important to have an initial consultation, and for you to bring detailed information on what you would like. Reference pictures or samples are always useful. This also gives us a chance to see your body shape to confirm sizes and how the tattoo will flow.
